The Faculty of Social Work, The M. S. University of Baroda, Baroda will start an International Online Course in coming few months. This course is targeted for people who are working in development sectors. The course content will focus on social agencies in India and the changes taking place in rituals, traditions & customs across various societies of India.
The above course has been jointly designed by University of Pennsylvania, USA and UNICEF and it will be taught by Western India Faculty of Social Work teachers. In order to start the course, 40 Universities across India was surveyed out by an International Agency, out of which 21 Universities were shortlisted. In the ultimate round, all the 21 Universities were visited and finally, The Faculty of Social Work, The M.S. University of Baroda, Vadodara was selected. Before the final selection, UNICEF team visited the Faculty the Social Work, The M.S. University of Baroda and surveyed the infrastructure facility, required facilities for starting online courses,availability of seminar hall, auditorium etc.
